Richard J. Daley Center

Renovation Project

“The Public Building Commission of Chicago (PBC) announced back in 2011 that they would begin ramp renovations surrounding Richard J. Daley Center, located at 50 W. Washington Street, along with some minor interior upgrades inside the lobby and upper floors. Upgrades to the ramps was implemented at all four corners surrounding the Daley Center and at the crosswalk on Clark Street that leads to City Hall. Interior work included upgrades to the existing sliding doors in the Daley Center lobby, the removal of abandoned public telephone booths, relocation of some existing water fountains, repairs to escalator railings and some interior signage. This project was completed in the fall of 2011.”
