“During the spring 2007 season, the Chicago city building inspectors declared the stadium at Lane Tech College Prep unsafe and condemned the eastern half of the field. Since the stadium was built on top of a covered over landfill, there is still great concern on capacity levels. However we were able to renovate around this issue and continue renovation in and around the field. Lane Stadium reopened with a new turf field, IHSA regulation track, and new locker rooms.”
